Riding the bus in Ventura County has never been easier! The Go Ventura bus pass is a flexible, affordable and secure way to traveling around Ventura County on all smartcard equipped countywide transit operators. Using a single card you can travel between most of the County’s bus systems and all you have to do is tap your card when you get on the bus. Don’t worry, if your Go Ventura bus pass is lost, stolen or damaged, it can be replaced for a $10 fee, as long as your contact information is on file and show proof of ID. Once you have your Go Ventura Bus Pass you can add additional monthly passes or add dollar amounts to it just by calling the VCTC information center at (800) 438-1112. The Go Ventura bus Pass operates as either a monthly pass or an e-purse, keep reading and find out which one is best for you.

The Go Ventura Smartcard is an electronic pass that can be used on most public buses in Ventura county. The smartcard makes it simple to use transit, acting like a debit card and not having to worry about cash and change. Riders are able to purchase a monthly pass or an E-purse. The monthly pass will allow a frequent bus rider unlimited rides all month at a significant discount. The E- purse holds a prepaid dollar amount, making it ideal for people who use it occasionally. La Go Ventura Smartcard es una targeta electrónico que se puede utilizar en todos los autobuses públicos en el condado de Ventura. La tarjeta smartcard hace que sea fácil usar transporté público, actuando como una tarjeta de debito y no tener que preocuparse por dinero en efectivo y el cambio. Los pasajeros pueden comprar un pase mensual o un E-Purse. El pase mensual le permitirá a un frecuente pasajero del autobús número ilimitado de viajes durante todo el mes con un descuento significativo. Go Ventura Monthly Pass

A Go Ventura Monthly Pass allows you to take unlimited trips on most of the County’s buses. Passes are valid from the first day of the month until the last day of the month and are a great value if you use the bus every day or if you travel on more than one bus operator. Multiple months of passes can be loaded on the card at one time.

Go Ventura E-Purse

The Go Ventura e-purse is like a prepaid phone card. It can be loaded with any dollar amount, up to $200, making it ideal for people who only use the bus occasionally or do not wish to purchase a monthly pass. All e-purse holders get a 10% discount over the regular fares when the card is tagged on-board the bus. As an e-purse holder, all you have to do is tap your card on the reader and the correct fare will be deducted from your card. When you are running low on funds, a yellow warning light will flash to let you know that your e-purse contains less than five dollars.

First-Time Buyers

First-time buyers can visit one of our local sales locations listed below to purchase a Go Ventura bus pass. The sales outlet will require proof of identification if you pay with a check or credit card. Checks submitted for payment should be made payable to Ventura County Transportation Commission or VCTC. Remember to Register your pass or e-purse at the time of purchase so that should your card be lost or stolen the remaining value can be transferred onto a new card.

Discounted Passes

If you are purchasing the Go Ventura bus pass using the discount available to seniors or persons with permanent disabilities, your first purchase must be made in person. You will be asked to show proof of age or permanent disability. To recharge by phone, call VCTC’s GoVentura representative at (800) 438-1112. Phone orders can be placed using a MasterCard, VISA or Discover. These remote recharges require five (5) working days to process onto card when tagged onboard.
