Ventura County Bus Stop Assessment

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Ventura County Transportation Commission is leading an assessment of Ventura County’s bus stops. This assessment will evaluate the amenities provided at each of Ventura County’s almost 1,200 bus stops, including shelters and benches, for all of Ventura County’s nine transit systems. The study will analyze barriers to getting to bus stops, like narrow sidewalks or missing crosswalks, and it will develop a prioritization system to help direct funding towards future stop improvements, such as adding new shelters, real time arrival displays, and making ADA accessibility improvements.

Rider and Public Feedback

As a part of this project, VCTC is hosting public workshops and conducting a rider survey to hear feedback on bus stops from residents, workers, and students across Ventura County. We want to hear your experience waiting for buses in Ventura County and listen to what improvements you’d like to see at bus stops.
