The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) would like to hear your views on public transitservice needs within Ventura County, and between Ventura County and Los Angeles/Santa Barbara countiesas part of its process to identify unmet transit needs which it can reasonably meet.
Are transit services adequate, or are there specific areas in which unmet transit needs could be reasonable tomeet through the expansion of existing transportation systems, by establishing new systems, or bycontracting for service from private operators? VCTC is especially interested in hearing about the specifictransit needs of senior citizens, persons with disabilities, persons of low income, and for environmentallysensitive areas.
Check the flyer below to find several ways you can submit your comments.

On March 25, 2010 The Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) and the Ventura Council of Governments (VCOG) held a joint meeting al California Lutheran University with the Sothern California Association of Governments (SCAG) to discuss SB 375. As part of that discussion, SCAG polled elected officials and other civic leaders on their attitudes on a variety of development and transportation issues.

Transit Investment Study
The Ventura County Transportation Commission conducted this study to determine how to best allocate funds for projects that would enhance transit services for county residents. Initially seen as providing a methodology for prioritizing state funds that were anticipated to be available from Prop 1B, the study was modified slightly over time. Potential projects for funding under Prop 1B were incorporated into applications for federal funds available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act early in 2009. Accordingly, the prioritization process was modified to ensure its applicability to other funding sources.
